I was born on a yacht; the sky and sea my television. The elements are in my blood and I am inspired by the sky over the water, the reflections, the play of light, and how one affects the other.

Moving to Edinburgh from South Devon uprooted my rural upbringing. I began the search to reconnect, finding comfort and meaning through the exploration of wild, elemental, ever-changing Scottish landscapes. I frequently work outdoors, feeling inspired when immersed in natural, unspoiled, and often dynamic landscapes.

Rose is a contemporary landscape painter from South Devon working primarily with oils.

In a time where we need to reconnect, Rose's work aims to provoke an appreciation for the environments' strength and beauty.

Rose currently lives and works in Edinburgh.
